Privacy & cookies
Last updated 23 October 2026.
GardenScout is run by EverLabs Software Ltd, a company registered in England. This page explains what information the site collects, which cookies it uses and the choices you have. Questions: info@advantecit.co.uk.
What we collect
You can read everything on GardenScout without an account, and we never ask for your name, address or payment details.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, so we know what to improve. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) and records things like the pages viewed, roughly where visitors are (country or city), the type of device and browser, and how they found the site. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
We use this information only for statistics about how the site is used. We do not use it for advertising, we do not run advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not try to identify individual visitors.
Turn analytics off
Analytics is on by default. You can switch it off for this browser at any time; the choice is remembered in your browser, not sent to us.
Analytics on this browser: on
Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site: Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Amazon links
As an Amazon Associate GardenScout earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies on Amazon's website to record that you came from us, so we can be paid a commission. That happens on Amazon, under Amazon's privacy notice and cookies notice. Our pages do not run Amazon tracking scripts.
Content loaded from other servers
Some parts of the page, such as fonts, icons and product photos, load from other companies' servers: fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com, cdnjs.cloudflare.com, m.media-amazon.com, www.googletagmanager.com. Like any web request, those servers see your IP address and browser type. We do not send them anything else about you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. Email info@advantecit.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
